Why we celebrate Happy Us Independence Day?
We celebrate Happy Us Independence Day to commemorate the day when India finally broke free from the shackles of British colonial rule ๐ฌ๐ง๐ซ and became an independent nation ๐ฎ๐ณ๐ on August 15, 1947.
Here’s a brief history ๐:
In the early 19th century, British East India Company established its foothold in India, and gradually, the entire subcontinent came under British rule ๐ผ. As a result, India lost its sovereignty and was forced to follow British laws and conventions ๐.
Gandhi ji, the Mahatma ๐๏ธ, played a pivotal role in India’s freedom struggle ๐ช. He led numerous non-violent movements and protests ๐ญ, such as the Salt March ๐โโ๏ธ, to challenge British rule and demand independence for India ๐.
After years of struggle, on August 15, 1947, India attained independence ๐ฅ, becoming the largest democracy in the world ๐. Jawaharlal Nehru, India’s first Prime Minister ๐๏ธ, hoisted the Indian tricolor ๐จ on the historic Red Fort ๐๏ธ in Delhi ๐.
Today, we celebrate Independence Day with great zeal ๐, paying tributes to the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for our country ๐. It’s a day to reflect on our struggle for independence, celebrate our unity and diversity ๐, and rejoice in the spirit of freedom ๐.
So, that’s why we celebrate Happy Us Independence Day! ๐๐
